Sand Bypass – Cocoa Beach, FL
This was a Dredging Project to Restore 3.5 miles of beach and was the largest beach re-nourishment project in the Port Canaveral area 1995. The $18 million, federally funded project will restore sand to 3.5 miles of beaches, stretching from Port Canaveral’s Jetty Park to south of Cocoa Beach Pier.
The work, resulted in temporary restrictions on public access to sections of beach within about 1,000 feet of the daily construction activity for about three to four days at a time.
