Poplar Island – Easton, MD

This project is a continuation of the construction of the area’s lateral expansion. Work includes the construction of the armored containment dikes, widening of existing dikes, demolition of an existing wetland spillway structure, and construction of a new upland spillway structure. Dike construction will be accomplished by mechanical placement using sand from designated stockpile areas and stone to be quarried and shipped to the site. Work includes placement of sand, geotextile fabric, and stone, and seeding.
